How to Get OPSYNVI®

The initial step in considering OPSYNVI® is to have a discussion with your doctor to determine whether combination therapy with OPSYNVI® may be right for you.

Tips for Doctor Discussions

Share Your Priorities

Start your visit by expressing what's most important to you, ensuring your doctor understands your key concerns.

Prepare Your Questions

Have a list of questions ready. If time is tight, you can share the list directly with your doctor.

Bring a Support Person

You don't have to face PAH alone. Consider bringing a family member or friend to take notes, offer support, and help you remember or come up with additional questions.

Questions to Discuss With Your Doctor

  • Will OPSYNVI® help reduce my PVR?
  • Do my PAH medications target the three foundational pathways?
  • Can OPSYNVI® work in combination with other PAH treatments?
  • Are there other strategies I haven't considered to manage my PAH?

4 Steps to Support Your PAH Journey

Make OPSYNVI® part of your comprehensive PAH treatment path.

When you are prescribed OPSYNVI®:

  • You and your doctor will review important information, including the OPSYNVI® Medication Guide, and complete the OPSYNVI® Enrollment and Prescription Form. You should also ask questions about OPSYNVI® at this time.

  • If you are a woman, you must enroll in the Macitentan-Containing Products REMS Program, due to the risk of serious birth defects. You must agree to all instructions in the program.

If you are a woman who can get pregnant, you must also:

  • Review the Macitentan-Containing Products REMS Program Guide for Female Patients.

  • Have a negative pregnancy test before starting OPSYNVI®, each month while taking OPSYNVI®, and for 1 month after you stop taking OPSYNVI®. Your doctor will decide when to do the pregnancy test.

  • Use acceptable forms of birth control when taking OPSYNVI® and for 1 month after stopping OPSYNVI®. Acceptable birth control options are included in the OPSYNVI® Medication Guide. Your doctor will help you choose the types of birth control that are right for you.

Once you and your healthcare provider have decided that OPSYNVI® is right for you, Janssen CarePath will help you find the resources you may need to get started and stay on track.

Janssen CarePath can identify cost support options that may help with managing your out-of-pocket costs — whether you have commercial or private health insurance, government coverage such as Medicare or Medicaid, or have no insurance coverage.

After your doctor prescribes OPSYNVI®, your Janssen CarePath Care Coordinator will contact you.
